Furniture makeover!

With the holidays coming up fast, I wanted to get the apartment in order before I started NEW messes of gift making and wrapping.
Our little home was nothing to brag about, that's for sure.
Also with Baby on the way, it was best to get these projects over with.

My guinea pig end table that had been picked from the garbage last year.
Now with a lovely coat of antique white.

The first end table turned out so well, I thought "What the heck" and painted this one too!
This would have gone back to the curb otherwise.

We had this hutch since I was a little kid. I can't remember it ever having door knobs.
After my dad got a new one for his kitchen, he was going to put this one out in the barn.
I would much rather inherit it into my own kitchen!
The back had a huge hole in it, so I replaced that and even added Coca Cola knobs!

Now how cute is this kitchen?

I can't believe I used this dresser for over a year with broken drawer pulls.
My head is hanging in shame.

But I cannot get over how adorable it looks with these mismatched drawer knobs
that I found at Hobby Lobby for a steal!
And yes, the mirror is sideways. Maybe someday I'll jack the dresser up on legs
so I can turn the mirror the long way, like it should be.

THIS is a project to be proud of. I saw this beauty on a Buy/Sell Facebook page,
{for freeeee!}
and told my sister and husband that we HAD to pick it up.
It's heavier than it looks. Came home in pieces. Almost ended up in the dumpster.
I can still almost hear the angels singing at the result.

We're not really making a nursery for our little guy, so I'm very glad to have this awesome "thing" to keep his stuff in. Way cuter and more accessible than a boring old dresser.

This would have been the baby dresser, but it's old and smelly and we had piles of mail everywhere,
so it's a sorting command center now.
I love drawing on the chalkboard drawers.

This is about as "nursery" as we get.
The pink chair, I painted white. The barnwood bookshelf, we built ourselves. The rag rug, I spent who knows how many hours on. Satisfying turnout overall.

And our "wall of love." I took a whole bunch of random things
(old barn window, mismatched picture frames, burlap canvas, etc.)
and put them all together with some black and white photos of our years together.

Our kids will always see that my husband and I are best friends.

Hello, world of blogging

Hi. I'm new here.

I figured since I have enough {stuff} to share on Social Media in every other aspect,
why not make a blog?

Hopefully I can figure this out so I can share all of my creations and inspirations!
